Terms & Conditions

1. Overview

Sanana Retreats offers surfskate retreats, including surfskate workshops, surf guiding, meals, accommodations, and various activities. By booking with Sanana, participants agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

2. Services and Inclusions

Sanana Retreats provides the following services as part of the retreat package:

Additional services, such as the photography/drone package and surf rentals, may be available for an extra fee.

3. Payment Terms

A 50% deposit is required to secure your booking, payable within 48 hours of registration. The remaining balance must be paid no later than 6 weeks before the retreat start date. Accepted payment methods include Stripe and direct bank transfer, and all payments are processed in euros. Any transaction fees, including currency conversion or bank charges, are the responsibility of the participant.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

All bookings require a non-refundable deposit to secure participation in the retreat. This deposit is non-transferable and will not be refunded under any circumstances, including but not limited to changes in personal circumstances, travel delays, or inability to attend.

Cancellations made within eight (8) weeks of the retreat start date will not be eligible for any refund, regardless of the reason. This includes cancellations due to personal emergencies, illness, changes in travel plans, or other unforeseen events.

Participants are strongly advised to obtain comprehensive travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, medical expenses, and participation in physical activities such as surfskating and surfing. Sanana Retreats will not be held liable for any losses or costs incurred as a result of cancellation, delay, or changes to your booking.

5. Liability and Assumption of Risk

Participants understand and accept the risks associated with surfskating, surfing, and other physical activities provided at Sanana retreats. Sanana and its affiliates shall not be held liable for injuries or accidents occurring during any retreat activities. Upon arrival, participants will be required to sign a waiver confirming their assumption of all risks.

Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines provided by Sanana staff and are strongly encouraged to wear appropriate protective gear, including helmets and pads, during surfskating and other physical activities. Participants must hold valid travel insurance that specifically covers surfskating, surfing, and other physical activities, as Sanana does not provide insurance.

6. Travel and Transportation

Travel arrangements, including flights and transportation to the retreat location, are the participant’s responsibility. Sanana Retreats can provide assistance with organizing travel plans upon request but is not liable for delays or cancellations in travel arrangements.

7. Code of Conduct

Participants are expected to conduct themselves with respect and consideration toward local culture, fellow participants, and Sanana staff. The retreat promotes a community spirit and safe environment for all; any form of disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe behavior may result in removal from activities or the retreat without a refund.

Participants are encouraged to embrace and respect the local customs and environment, maintaining a positive and responsible attitude throughout their stay.

8. Privacy and Data Use

Sanana Retreats collects and processes participant information solely for booking, communication, and emergency purposes. We may also use your contact details to share updates about future retreats and events, unless you opt out. 9. Force Majeure

Sanana Retreats shall not be held liable for delays, changes, or cancellations resulting from circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, pandemics, or governmental restrictions. Given the weather-dependent nature of surfskating and surfing activities, adjustments to the schedule may be necessary if conditions are unsuitable. In such cases, Sanana will make reasonable efforts to reorganize activities or provide suitable alternatives; however, refunds will not be issued for changes due to force majeure events.

10. Agreement and Acknowledgment

By booking a retreat with Sanana, participants acknowledge that they have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these terms and conditions. This agreement is binding upon payment of the deposit and confirms the participant’s commitment to respect the policies and procedures outlined above.
